IST Field Technician

Summary:
The Inventory Support Team tracks USPTO IT assets for the full lifecycle: that is, from when the assets are first received into the system until they are retired. The Field tech/Inventory Specialist will be responsible for assisting the Federal government in reconciling their IT asset inventory on a regular and routine basis. This agency possesses over 110,000 IT assets ranging from laptop computers to monitors, printers, and other devices.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Complete monthly RFID scanning
- Update user locations both for USPTO campus and Home Use locations and update asset location as needed
- Receive new assets in Asset Management Database (ServiceNow SMP)
- Process Property Custodian change requests
- Provide onsite support for Evanhoe/Aware Innovations RFID team
Minimum Qualifications:
- Possess at least 2 years of related office experience
- Possess the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
- Possess the ability to occasionally stand for long periods of time, walk between multiple campus sites, climb ladders, and lift at least 25 lbs.
- Possess prior experience with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
